Wintry showers in north and east. Patchy rain in southwest.

Today:

Wintry showers and sunny intervals across northern and eastern areas of the UK. Further south and west cloudier with occasional light rain and drizzle, then becoming drier and a little brighter. Windy generally. Cold in the northeast, milder in southwest.

Tonight:

Snow showers across Scotland, especially the north and east, also the northeast of East Anglia. Northern Ireland, Wales and southwest England cloudy with occasional rain, perhaps sleet on high ground.

Saturday:

Snow showers across eastern Scotland, some northeast England coasts, and Norfolk. Cloudy with a little light rain at times across Northern Ireland, Wales and southwest England. Otherwise dry and bright.
